You are the people we feel most sorry for. For most of us here in the Online and Bored Bunker, boredom is something overcome through any number of sloppily thought out, poorly executed and randomly selected techniques. Yet the anal retentives of the world don’t have it that easy. For them, boredom is not all that different to work. There’s lots to be done before boredom can be adequately categorised and compartmentalised as a task done and one done to the most exacting specifications.

Boredom? Let’s get specific.

Boredom is not just one category of inactivity, is it? No, far from it. The word “boredom” encompasses a wide range of situations and conditions. This could be a topic to explore further next time we are bored. For the moment, let’s just say that lot’s of writing gets boring.

 

But then again, finding a picture that’s clever, insightful and deeply meaningful can take an awfully long time. Far better, and easier, to simply go “blaghh”.
